Pattern in Photography

To recap, here is another example for last week's topic "Scale in Photography"

The above photo was clicked in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India at Brihadeeswarar Temple (also known as "Thanjai Periya Koyil"). Worshippers of lord shiva are shown small to give importance to the kumbam (Kalasha or the bulbous structure on the top) of the historic temple.

Pattern in Photography

The topic that we are going to discuss this week is "Pattern in photography". Same objects when organized together in some fashion creates a pattern to our eyes. The pattern can be usual or unusual. When we click the unusual pattern through the camera, it looks more aesthetic even though there is no story around it.

The above photo was clicked at the entrance of Golden beach Theme Park, Chennai. There are series of similar elephant statues standing close to each other which creates a pattern of elephant's face, tusk and trunk You would appreciate the unique look it gives which is not possible with single object/statue.
